The mcd are a bunch of amateurs!!!! The best band ever at the worst venue in Ireland! It was like a swamp! Access was rubbish! 2 Bars for over 40,000 people….I couldnt get a pint as the queues nearly went out of the arena they were that long! I am disgusted with the organiation by the mcd they just take the money and give the punters the finger if they are not happy! The Roses played a blinder and I was delighted with their performance but I will do my vey best to avoid any outdoor gig the mcd are organising!!! Shambles!

The sound was fairly LOW for the first few songs then once they started into Fools Gold the concert took off like a rocket. And this aul fart (hahaha) thronged by whipper snappers n other farts gave it welly for the rest of nite. Brilliant GiG..!

I have to say: the amount of people in their 30s who were destroyed with drink was just depressing. I couldn’t get over how many grown men and women were reduced to dribbling arseholes flailing in the mud, covered in vomit. I saw one guy just get his lad out and starting pissing on people, right in the middle of the crowd. He had no idea where he was.
I’m not saying I’ve never been drunk, or that we shouldn’t enjoy a few beers, but I got a distinct impression a lot of people actually set out to get this bad, like it was their plan all along. There are a lot of people who need to wake up and have a serious think about their drinking.

Roses were unbelievable last night; took a while to get going but when it did, one of the best gigs I’ve been to. Park isn’t a great venue and it took an age to get a beer.

Tip for those going over weekend, invest in wellies, prepare to walk 45 mins from town, stand in the middle near the t-shirt hut, sound is better there, get ur beers early and when ur leaving, head to castleknock for a taxi home! Enjoy!!

Great gig, wasn’t perfect – but just seeing the 4 on stage was something I never thought I would see. Crowd were in great form, weather bang on. Brown was ok, everyone pretty much drowned him out anyway. I reckon the sounddesk had his vocals turned down a notch….

I loved the gig it brought back such great memories, Ian Brown was like a bad karaoke singer at times but the band were very tight with a great sound! Wellies were essential not a great venue I pity the people going to Swedish house mafia and Florence after all this rain??

Positive:This is the one for me made my nite. Negative : The sound. But overall loved it. Hope they return.

I did not go yesterday, but I caught them in Amsterdam 2 weeks ago, and it was night and day compared to any Irish gig I’ve been to. You’re not herded into the venue like cattle, not patted down at the door, you didn’t have to take out a mortgage for beer, and even though you weren’t really supposed to smoke weed in the smoking area, no one cared when we did. No drunken louts, no rows…. Gigs abroad for me from now on!

The sound in front of the speakers halfway back was immense. Better than in front of the sound stage, and a decent view too. Don’t understand the people cribbing about Brown’s singing — the man could never hold a tune, did you think he’d miraculously transform into Placido Domingo? Brilliant show. I had no intention of going as I’d gotten a ticket for Sunday’s Heaton Park gig before the Dublin gig was announced. Sorted a ticket for last night as soon as I got back from Manchester.

Music was superb, Brown’s singing & the sound was very ropey at times…painful on the ear.

After being in Heaton Park on Sunday I can definitely say last night was not “epic”. The sound for the first half was diabolical and the crowd were very subdued only singing along to the obvious hits and talking through the rest. The band however gave a good performance and John Squire’s Guitar playing gave me shivers.

The biggest problem I had was no way of getting home . Had to walk 10 miles in my wellies before I got a taxi. In the nations capital. I am still in pain

Im in my early 40s(so obviously one of these aule fellas) and a massive Roses fan. Managed to see them in Manchester and London a few times back in the day and saw them in Dublin and Belfast when they first played here so was really looking forward to the gig.
Unfortunately it was full of Oasis clones who thought ‘Where Angels Play’ and ‘Standing here’ were new songs!
Browns singing has reminded me why Im not a fan of his solo stuff. Was a great trip up memory lane even though the memory has been affected from the aule acid house/Madchester drugs scene!
Hopefully they’ll call it a day after this and really mean it.

Ive noticed that those who saw the band when they were huge were’nt too impressed but those that hadnt felt it was amazing! How times change!!
