I love the journal.ie and always get great laughs out of the daily edge articles but this one is absolute crap! I watched the video expecting a twist or something at the end…but no, literally just a video of some dope slapping another dope 15 days in a row. Crap and noted.

I couldn’t do that. A shocked expression on my just-woken man’s face pains me… I hate to be responsible for that rousal, especially in so abrupt a way. :(

He reacts like he’s a Russian sleep experiment participant after day 6! I’d definitely adapt my sleeping pattern so that I’d wake up just before the slaps or start sleeping more lightly in the morning so that I’d hear the approaching assailant. I have to be on the alert for a phonecall between 8 and 9 every morning because I rely on substitute teaching work… I think I’ve probably seen 8am (at least briefly) every day since September!
