SINGER AND ACTRESS Jennifer Hudson is a Weight Watchers spokesperson after losing 80 pounds with their diet plan – and now she is hoping to help others with her own weight loss centre.
The Chicago native will open the Jennifer Hudson Weight Watchers Center today at an event attended by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
The new centre is in the city’s Hyde Park neighborhood on the South Side.
Weight Watchers says it will donate a portion of the center’s revenue to a foundation in honour of Hudson’s late nephew, Julian King. I
In October 2008, the bodies of Hudson’s mother and brother were found in the family’s home, while King’s body was found days later in a vehicle. All three had been shot.
Hudson is known for her Oscar-winning role in Dreamgirls.
