This would make Ward the fourth male winner of the X Factor to be dropped from the SyCo label.

REPORTS ARE RIFE that Shayne Ward has been axed by Simon Cowell’s record label after his last album failed to make the Top 10.

This would make him the fourth male winner of The X Factor to be dumped by SyCo Music, which is owned by its creator Simon Cowell.

Shayne won the 2005 series, and had attempted to resurrect his career with the album Obsession, last year.

He even sang at the X Factor 2010 finals but his album only got to number 15 in the charts.

Matt Cardle, last year’s winner, is still signed to the label, but Steve Brookstein, who won in 2004, Leon Jackson, who scooped 2007’s top spot, and 2009 winner Joe McElderry were also dropped after their albums didn’t do well.
