Friday evenings – the only thing better! The dread had begun to set in again by Saturday nights, unfortunately, and a lifetime aversion to Sunday evenings was well established by age 10! :-)

After we used mattress to slide down the stairs we searched for ages to see where the sweet fairy had hidden the sweets ( the only time we got sweets) then sat in wait with toilet roll inserts at the ready for mary (anything goes)

early 80′s on RTE 1 around lunchtime….you had daktari,salvage 7,gemini man.always watched the old black n white movies on BBC 2 for the rest of the afternoon….great old war movies.
