God forbid that the extremely long half lives of these posters should dupe archeologists of the future into thinking the mugs depicted on them were great leaders or contributors to Irish society. All election posters and leaflets should be printed on rice paper.

Things are getting lonely out there now if that’s all there is to write about . I’m back into hibernation .

Even better there’s a 2007 election poster still on the side of a bin at my local supermarket. I hear the advertising company went bust and never took it down after the election :P

Why isn’t joe o’neil cleaning this up?

Election posters should all be displayed in prominent public places on PAPER! Like they are in most other European countries, the printing lobby gets their way often.
Here is why we should stop them in their current format.

1. Posters are bad of the environment
2. They drive up the cost of democracy making only the wealthy able to enter politics.
3. In the age of the Internet and mass media there is less need for posters.
