Rubberbandits launch new Channel 4 shorts

It is being reported that the Limerick duo – Blind Boy Boat Club and Mr Chrome – are also working on a TV pilot.

LIMERICK’S FINEST PLASTIC-bag-faced comedy duo have unveiled their latest work for Channel 4 online – and are reported to be working on a TV pilot.

The Irish Independent reports today that the pilot was filmed for Channel 4 in Limerick last month.

It was announced in August that Blind Boy Boat Club and Mr Chrome had been hired to create pieces for new online UK and Ireland comic talent series, Comedy Blaps.

The clips are directed by Irish director Declan Lowney, who has previously worked on Cold Feet, Father Ted and Little Britain.

The first episode centres on the two best friends and their new music group, called – surprise! – The Rubberbandits, as they prepare for their gig in the local community centre.

More clips will be uploaded to the Blaps site every Thursday for the next six weeks.

Last year, the duo -whose  ‘Horse Outside’ video has now hit seven million YouTube hits – created a series of clips for MTV Iggy.
