Irish dairy farmers are mad at Rosanna Davison for telling people to go vegan

They’re calling her a big old spoofer. A spoofer!

IRISH DAIRY FARMERS have accused model Rosanna Davison of ‘spoofing’ for telling people dairy is bad for them.

The Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers’ Association (ICMSA) are unhappy with what they deem her latest “ill-advised and scientifically illiterate denigration of dairy and meat foodstuffs”.

Davison, a qualified nutritionist who has been a proud vegan for years, made the offending comments in the last issue of the Irish Independent’s Health and Living magazine.

She said:

I understand that not everyone is going to want to give up meat and dairy entirely – it took me time to switch over to being a vegan from vegetarianism – but your body thanks you in so many ways for treating it kindly.

In response ICMSA President John Comer issued a statement on their website, saying recent research highlighting the benefits of milk disproved the “quackery and nonsense” surrounding dairy.

Rosanna Davison is a very high profile model who is justly famed for her beauty and poise but I have to ask why she seems fixated on continually undermining the image and reality of dairy and meat as excellent and healthy foods?

“We’re obliged to challenge Rosanna when she comes out with this type of spoofing that denigrates and damages the image of one of the world’s great foods,” he added.

Shots. Fired.

This isn’t the first time Davison and ICMSA have come to blows – last year a similar argument ended with Rosanna saying “The difference between me and the ICMSA is that I am not trying to sell anything.”
