Last night's Room to Improve was a seriously tense affair

We’d never seen such drama *breathes*

LAST NIGHT’S ROOM to Improve hit new levels of tension, as the husband and wife team constantly clashed with each other and architect Dermot Bannon over the direction the project was going.

Meet Sally-Ann

And Trevor

Their lovely old house was in need of some pretty severe renovation. The kitchen was the priority, but there was a hell of a lot of building needed to be done to match the couple’s expectations.

There was tension early on over the house’s WOW factor. Trevor wanted the house to be warm, and Sally-Ann was more interested in making it spectacular. It only got worse from there.

The couple continued to clash throughout the episode – and Sally-Ann’s request for a sandwich-making area in her dream kitchen caused much mirth online

Next up, the windows were a controversial issue

Sally-Ann didn’t like the black window frames that Dermot suggested for the house. She also wasn’t too happy with the white colour chosen to go with it.

Sally-Ann was none too happy that you could see under the bed from outside

A bizarre fear, we grant you.

Why was she obsessed with seeing in under the beds? We’ll never know.

The tension was off the charts throughout

The party at the end contained a disappointing amount of sandwiches, all things considered

Everyone agreed that Dermot was an absolute hero for putting up with it all though

All’s well that ends well, as Sally-Ann and Trevor were happy with the finished product – which just leads us to ask… why all the drama?
