Romney caught on tape… who else has fallen foul of hidden recordings?

Mitt Romney’s been caught rapid dismissing 47 per cent of American voters. Who else didn’t know the mic was on?

SO MITT ROMNEY has been caught rapid making comments in a secretly-filmed video, which sees him suggesting that 47 per cent of Americans are ‘victims’ who are dependent on the government.

The Republican presidential hopeful’s campaign team are on serious damage after Romney said that the 47 per cent of his countrymen who don’t pay federal income tax can’t be helped by him, because they won’t care about his proposed tax cuts.

Romney attacked a culture of dependency and said that the 47 per cent ‘believe the government has a responsibility to care for them’.

Romney’s not the first person to be confronted with material like this, and he won’t be the last. Who can forget Gordon Brown and the ‘bigoted woman’?

  • (For the record not an Obama supporter) Oh because half the country doesn’t support you Mr. Romney? There must be something really wrong with them, how could they not support MITT ROMNEY of all people. It couldn’t have anything to do with millions unemployed and screwed over by people like you. That’s pretty easy to say when you own a corporation and say “I like to fire people.” Also when you have off-shore bank accounts in Barbados, Cayman Islands, Ireland, and Switzerland; and are only taxed at 15%? Very interesting. Mitt Romney claims to be a “Republican”. When was raising taxes on the middle-class and low-income families, “Republican”? I don’t even want Obama as President but with statements like those it will have to be Obama 2012 and not A**hol* 2012. Even the Republican Party hates Mitt Romney; he doesn’t even know what he stands for, constant flip flopping. At least Obama makes it clear what he stands for and you can actually disagree with him.

Poor old Mitt, he just can’t seem to get anything right. Even if the mic was not on he still should not have said what he said, there are a lot of unemployed people in the U.S. That given the circumstances that the are in and how the media portrays President Obama’s first term would vote for him, but maybe it’s in america’s best interest that he is not elected.

@ Gagsy 99 – That’s certainly true, and the reason why that is, extremely ignorant voters got these fundamentalists elected and in the process got rational republicans removed. To be successful at politics a person knows when, how and on what to compromise on, but to make a deal with the Tea Party is like playing chess with a pigeon, all they are going to do is knock all the pieces on the floor, shit on the table and do a victory walk.

It’s like voting for tweedle dom or tweedle dee. There is no real choice in American politics. This is the guy who thinks an average American is on 200,000, whereas the reality is much much less. All these leading Republicans and Democrats are all elites and friendly with each other behind the scenes. Americans should vote for the Greens or any other third party that would bring some real change into American politics.

  • Did you ever consider that the Name Mitt could stand for M oney I ‘m T otally T aken. How can a man of such extreme wealth be in touch with reality and especially the ordinary man in the street. Obama became President four years ago in and walked into a GIG that had the resemblance of a House Party that had been trashed by its departed guests namely Bush and Co.
He may not be a popular choice at the moment. So many of the States problems are still not resolved but give me a President who has that feel good factor and if elected again will be given more time to sort these out.
Mitt Romney could be running at ten to one. Hopefully he will come in at four oclock when the race is over.

    • Agreed.
Also he can be a bit more agressive in policy in the second term. The first term rarely reflects the predident because it is relatively short and they are afraid to do something that would not get them re-elected.
