RIHANNA IS BRINGING her latest tour to Dublin this evening at the Aviva Stadium.
Given the mind boggling number of hits she has it promises to be an amazing show.
Also we see this show as a homecoming of sorts for Riri given that we reckon she is an Irish girl at heart.
1. Pyjamas are an essential part of her wardrobe
Every self-respecting Irish girl has had that moment where they wear pyjamas in public and don’t care.
So has Rihanna.
Mind you it was on the red carpet for her debut movie role and they were fashion pyjamas but still.

2. She appreciates a good pub
On a 2011 visit to Dublin Rihanna popped into O’Donoghue’s pub for Thanksgiving and we’re sure there was a feed of pints involved.
Like any good Irish girl Rihanna knows that the only place you’re going to have any craic is at the pub.
3. Her ma loves her but isn’t taking any of her messing
Rihanna clearly loves her ma just like most Irish girls especially when you see her post Instagram pictures like this:

But then you hear about how her mum gives out to her about what she puts on the internet and how she is a bit scared of her.
Which is something a lot of Irish girls can relate to.
4. She’s mad for a bit of River Island

Many an Irish girl avail of high-street giant River Island and it’s rapid take on many big trends.
And sure Rihanna is just like Irish girls given her love of River Island.
Of course she’s mainly doing a clothing line for them but that’s basically the same thing.
5. Hair can be used to express yourself in many ways
Irish girls like to get glam and the main way they do that is with their hair.
Rihanna totally gets this.
Sometimes it’s a light brown and ready to be flipped at the drop of a hat:

8. She doesn’t care what you think of her
Irish girls are great for saying “Feck it who cares? It’ll be grand” and Rihanna is a shining example of that kind of attitude.

9. She is the talk of the parish

Rihanna makes headlines daily and her posters for her shows here even got covered up by concerned locals.
Rihanna is basically the talk of the parish the way your mother warned you’d be if you didn’t cover up or didn’t stop gallivanting with those friends of yours etc.
And you can’t get more Irish than that.
