Prince Harry: I won't upset the Queen with my Best Man speech

The sometimes hell-raising younger brother of soon-to-wed Prince William says he will choose his words carefully.

PRINCE HARRY says he’ll be careful not to offend his 84-year-old grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, with his speech honouring his older brother Prince William after the latter’s wedding next month.

Harry told today’s ‘Good Morning America’ that he’ll have to be selective in what he says because his grandmother will be in the audience at the April 29 royal wedding and at the reception to follow.

The interview aired Thursday as Harry continued an Arctic charity trek in support of wounded servicemen, the goal of which is to raise £2million (€2.26m) for the Walking With the Wounded charity.

Harry also welcomed Kate Middleton into the royal family, saying that she and William are a perfect match – though he acknowledged some doubts about whether the marriage would ever take place, hinting that William had taken a long time to propose.

It has been confirmed, meanwhile, that William will not wear a wedding ring after the ceremony, as a matter of “personal choice”.

Kate – who will become Princess Catherine of Wales after the marriage – will wear a ring made of Welsh Gold, as is traditional for those marrying heirs to the throne.
