CORK IS A serious spot for a night out as we all know, but often the key to many a night’s success is the tasty, tasty grub afterwards.
Behold these fine Cork institutions to cater for that very late-night craving:
Hillbilly’s
This is the quintessential late-night fried chicken stop off in the city centre. It wouldn’t be a night out in without fending your way through the queues and trying to get your hands on a sweet, sweet bucket.
The original and still the best.
Fast Al’s
The best pizza in Cork, hands down. And given it has three locations – all opening late – you’re bound to end up here after a night out at some stage. And you won’t be disappointed.
Burger Shack
Right outside Havana’s club in the city centre, Burger Shack caters for the hungry masses leaving late – serving up the biggest and tastiest late night burger you’re likely to find.
The Spice Route
Hands down the best kebabs in Cork. Needless to say, given people’s love of a good kebab post-night out – The Spice Route is deservedly popular.
KC’s
It can only fit about 15 people so there is always a queue of willing people waiting to get in. Everyone goes on about the vast menu on show with the King Creole pitta achieving legendary status. E! News reported that Kim and Kanye ate in K.C’s when they were in Cork, so if ever there was a ringing endorsement.

Jackie Lennox’s
No list of Cork eateries would be complete without a mention of this legendary chipper, located on the Bandon Road. Its simple menu of burgers, chicken and fish – all with the bets chips in Cork – make this a very popular spot after the pub.
Lennox’s
Similar in name to more illustrious Jackie’s, Lennox’s on MacCurtain Street serves up a range of chipper standards with some Halal twists thrown in for good measure.
John Grace’s
Another city centre fried chicken joint that stays open late and has a great location just off Oliver Plunkett Street. Perfect for when you’ve been to Hillbilly’s way to many times and fancy a change (but still retaining your right to delicious fried chicken).
