PICS: Immortalised in wax - Kate and Will

A year into their marriage, the royal couple are looking a little stiff…oh wait..

BRITISH ROYALS Kate and Will have been preserved for all of time – in wax. Madame Tussauds unveiled the waxworks to celebrate the first year of marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

At a cost of of nearly £1 million, the replicas depict the pair on the day of their engagement announcement. Kate’s first ever waxwork model is standing next to a newly updated model of Prince William. She is wearing the blue Issa dress that sold out within hours of people seeing her wearing it.

The Mirror reports that the waxworks cost £150,000 each and are expected to attract huge crowds but there are six replicas in total – three sets of Wills and Kates. The other two will be displayed at Madame Tussauds in Amsterdam and New York.

The couple are just the latest addition to the Royal zone in Madame Tussauds in London. Waxworks also on display are the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, as well as Prince Harry and the late Princess Diana.
