PIC: Dad pays daughter $200 in ‘Facebook deactivation agreement’

BUSINESSMAN PAUL BAIER struck a deal with his 14-year-old daughter in Boston, Massachusetts.

She would quit Facebook for five months; he would give her $200. ($50 in three months and the other $150 in the summer.)

He posted the contract to his blog, writing that it was “her idea which I support fully”.

(Our favourite bit? “I plan to use the money for the following purpose: STUFF.”)

  My advice re: facebook
  
  Go into router settings and block Facebook for 23hours a day.

I gave up Facebook for Lent one year I missed nothing the same crap people posted prior to getting off it was still there after Easter!! (now twitter would be totally different I couldn’t give that up)

All she had to do (and probably DID do) was reregister a different account with a different name – just pass the ‘new name’ to her mates to add her…!

She got one over on her old man – and made $200 out of it! Lol

Er she could just have changed it to an anonymous account. People need to remember that you don’t have to use your real ID on Facebook – they just want you to for advertising purposes. Facebook should be 18+. At least with Bebo it restricted access to the stalkers.
