Photos: Stifler comes to Trinity (to accept an award, not to study)

American Pie actor Seann William Scott was in TCD this afternoon to accept an award from the Philosophical Society.

GOOD TO SEE at least one member of the American Pie cast made it to university (kind of).

Seann William Scott, aka Stifler in the American Pie films, was in Trinity College this afternoon to collect his gold medal of honorary patronage from the Philosophical Society for his contribution to acting. Yes, really.

The medal was awarded by Vice Provost Professor Linda Hogan, who probably never imagined that her job would involve anything like this.

William Scott was in Dublin ahead of the premiere of American Pie:Reunion in the Savoy later this evening.
