LAST NIGHT’S MTV Video Music Awards were full of firsts with artists like Green Day, Taylor Swift and Lil Wayne all having their debut VMA performances and One Direction made their first ever visit the to the awards.

What wasn’t new was the celebs’ ever baffling attempts to out-do each other on the red carpet. We’ve trawled through last night’s red carpet images with our fashion savvy eyes to bring you the VMAs top fashion victims.
