JUST WHEN YOU thought you’d never see Brendan O’Carroll and Mr Big from Sex and the City shaking hands, it happened.
Chris Noth, who also stars in The Good Wife, presented the award for Best Comedy to O’Carroll and his team at the National Television Awards in London this evening.
The awards are voted on by the telly watching public and Mrs Brown’s Boys beat off competition from Miranda, Rickey Gervais’ Derek and The Big Bang Theory.
In his acceptance speech O’Carroll thanked the 15 million people who tuned in to watch the Christmas special of the show.
He also thank RTÉ and the people of Dublin, where the Mrs Brown movie was filmed.
