From what little I know about the current crop of British Tories I have always found this guy to be the most elitist, arrogant and smug. His face can’t even conceal it. And then he publicly refuses to sit among the great unwashed…did nobody on that train have a video phone??!

Apart from what happened I’m always shocked at UK train prices
£160 for an upgrade. I’d want champagne and heated massaging seat for that.

An upgrade on a train seat is as much as a weeks dole payment. That would be expenses?

Every time I hear about this man I hate him more and more, the heir to a fortune that would make a euro millions winner jealous dodging train fairs and talking about ordinary people having to tighten their belt during austerity, what is love to do to him…

Am i right in assuming the £160 being asked for was for a number of people, not just for George Osborne? £160 does seem like alot of money for one person. But if it’s just for Osborne, can i safely assume the aide had the right ticket? And if he did, wouldn’t it have been a good idea to make sure Osborne had one aswell?

But the fact remains, how did they assume a standard ticket would allow them to travel in first class? Did it seriouslly not occur to them? Or are they going to claim they didn’t have time to get the right ticket?

Or maybe they were just chancing their arm and were hoping a ticket inspector didn’t get on, and got pissed at the fact that they were caught.

People with the most serious of personality disorders who are adept at hiding these disorders, sometimes give themselves away, in the simplest of ways. Their sense of entitlement often gets the better of them.

Hm. These are the facts: A man sits in a first class seat. He has a standard ticket. Ticket collector does his job and fines him £160. Man pays the fine and remains in first class seat. Not much to conclude from that about anything at all? Maybe it’s safe to conclude that the ticket collector did his job.
