US FIRST LADY Michelle Obama is doing her bit for her husband’s 2012 campaign. She has joined Twitter and her avatar has an ‘Obama-Biden’ legend at the bottom.
The verified account @michelleobama posted its first tweet just over an hour ago and attracted 1,000 followers within those first 60 minutes.
As with her husband’s acount – @BarackObama – the account “will be managed by campaign staff” and any tweets written personally by the First Lady will be signed off with her initials.
It should be a while before she catches up to her tweetheart’s number of followers – now standing at just under 12 million – but this tweet from 10 minutes ago should help:
