Money for nothing

McDonald's worker accidentally hands couple bag of cash instead of food

They came for curly fries. They left with so much more.

BEING PAID TO EAT McDonald’s sounds like an impossible dream, but it almost happened to one couple in the US.

Greg and Stayce Terry ordered their breakfast (no judgement here) at the local McDonald’s drive-through, got their bag of food, and drove away.

However on opening the bag, instead of their tasty morning meal, they found thousands of dollars in cash.

According to NewsChannel5, some genius had put the previous day’s earnings into a McDonald’s bag and placed it by the drive-through orders, where it had been passed on to the hungry couple. The employee in question managed to quickly contact the Terrys and recover the money immediately.

McDonald’s were very impressed with the couple’s honesty:

We are looking in to why this mistake happened, but what is most important to us is knowing that we are part a community with the values that were evidenced by this person’s actions.

Poor Greg and Stayce. They were good enough to give back thousands of dollars (though not without getting a picture of the money to put on Facebook), and they didn’t even get their Bacon and Egg McMuffin. It’s a cruel world.
