JOSEPH ANN HAS been going out with his girlfriend for two years, and decided the time was right to pop the big question.
He thought it would be fun to surprise her with a proposal at the same place they ended their first date – McDonald’s. They ordered drive-thru, and his girlfriend opened up her burger to discover an engagement ring sitting on top of the bun.
At first she laughs, then she cries, then she finally says what we’re all thinking:
You can’t ask me to marry you with a CHICKEN SANDWICH!

Unsurprisingly, she said no. Joseph writes:
She joked for months about how ten years down the road I would probably propose to her in a chicken nugget box so I thought she would love it when I surprised her this way. She didn’t love it the way I thought she would.
All is not lost, however.
“We agreed to wait longer until it’s time to get engaged,” he said.
Oh Joseph. Dear Joseph. Honey, no.
