'Lost boy' tells incredible story of using Google Earth to find home in new ad

A heartwarming tale of what technology can bring to the world.

YOU MAY HAVE heard the story last year of the man who used Google Earth to find his way home, 25 years after disappearing.  Now, his story has been made into an ad for the product.

If you’re not familiar, his name is Saroo Brierley.  When he was five he fell asleep beside his brother on a train after a day of begging in Ganesh Talai, India.  When he woke up, it was morning, he was alone, and the train was in an unfamiliar place.

He had some tough times after that, reportedly almost drowning in the Ganges and surviving an abduction attempt, but eventually he was adopted by a couple in Australia where he still lives.

Saroo never stopped looking for his family though, and eventually figured out where he came from, and found them again using Google Earth.  See how he did it in this new ad.
