Limerick to get special treatment to ensure disappointed fans get Garth Brooks tickets

Garth himself announced the efforts on The John Murray Show this morning.

SPEAKING ON RTE Radio One this morning, Garth Brooks said that Ticketmaster are going to allow extra provisions to ensure that people in Limerick who lost out on getting tickets due to technical difficulties the last time, are sorted out for his extra concert date.

Saying that he couldn’t believe that people had queued in the way that they had, Garth told John Murray that Ticketmaster were being ‘sweet enough’ to ensure that those people would be taken care of.

He spoke about his decision to do an extra date, explaining that the reason he hadn’t initially gone for the idea was that it was his daughter Allie Colleen’s 18th birthday.  Garth explained that he wouldn’t miss that for the world, but as it turned out she told him she would love to have her birthday in Ireland… before immediately asked if she could get a tattoo.

Apparently they’re still negotiating on the tattoo, but they’re very excited about being here for her special day.

Speaking about his feelings ahead of the four nights in Croke Park, Brooks said:

I can’t explain how joyous I feel, how nervous I feel. Humbled, stunned.

He also said he’s going to be working from now until July to ensure that everyone who attends a concert gets the best out of it.

No pressure, Garth.
