LADY GAGA HAS postponed her two Paris shows as a result of the continuing protests across France against proposed pension reforms.

The “Monster Ball” shows were due to take place on 22 and 23 October at Paris Bercy, but have now been re-scheduled for 19 and 20 December.

A statement from concert organisers Live Nation has appeared on the singer’s website which blames “the logistical difficulties due to the strikes in France” for the change in dates, and adds:

Unfortunately, as there is no certainty that the trucks can make it to the Bercy for this weekend’s shows, the Lady Gaga performances are now postponed.

Ticket holders can exchange tickets or claim refunds until 14 November. Tickets dated for October will not be valid for the rescheduled dates.

The French Senate is wrapping up a debate on the pension reform bill and could vote on it today, Press Association reports.

Students are planning nationwide protests to urge legislators to strike it down a bill that would change the retirement age from 60 to 62. The demonstrations, which have been going strong for over a week, have led to severe public transport delays and petrol shortages.
