IRISH AUTHOR KATE Kerrigan has taken to Twitter to try to track down a laptop she left in the back of a Dublin taxi yesterday.

The computer contains her unfinished latest novel, which she had failed to back up.

Kerrigan says she left her black laptop bag in the back of a grey 2003 Toyata Avensis, which she took from the rank at Heuston Station to Brown Thomas on Grafton Street yesterday afternoon at around 1pm.

She’s tried several different avenues in an attempt to track down the car and driver, including examining CCTV footage for any clues:

Kerrigan, who has worked previously under her birth name Morag Prunty has already published several novels including the Ellis Island series, Recipes for a Perfect Marriage and The Lost Garden.

She also writes for RTÉ Radio One’s Sunday Miscellany.

As Morag Prunty she worked as editor of Just 17 magazine and also published several novels.

Writer friends like Amanda Brunker, Ceclila Ahern and Marian Keyes have joined in the attempt to track down the laptop.
