What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

EVERY WEEKDAY lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Sweets Made Simple (BBC2, 8.30pm)

Confectioners Kitty Hope and Mark Greenwood show you how to make sweets at home. What more could you possibly want? This week, they’re focusing on sweets that originated as medicinal remedies. Make sure you stock up on treats before you watch.

The Kate Bush Story: Running Up That Hill (BBC Four, 9.10pm)

Ahead of Kate Bush’s return to live performing after 35 years, the BBC are airing this documentary about the legendary musician’s life and work. The profile features such luminaries as Tori Amos and Dave Gilmour of Pink Floyd waxing poetic about her music. A must-see for Kate Bush fans, and a bittersweet watch for anyone who missed out on tickets to the gigs.

(500) Days of Summer (Channel 4, 11.40pm)

The lovely Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as a lovesick architect who finds his perfect girl and ultimately loses her. A smart rom-com that allows Zooey Deschanel to subtly subvert her Manic Pixie Dream Girl typecasting.
