IRISH FACEBOOK USER Adam Delaney from Coolock managed to get more than one million people to like one of his posts on the social network.

He challenged pop star Justin Bieber to shave his head to raise awareness about a young fan and friend of Bieber’s suffering from cancer.

Unfortunately the child, Avalanna , passed away this week.

According to the LA Times the six-year-old died yesterday. She had met Bieber following a Facebook campaign last year and had been ‘married’ to him in a pretend ceremony.

Delaney’s post on Bieber’s Facebook page has attracted 1,007,458 ‘likes’ so far.
