Just magic: Here's what you get to see on a Harry Potter tour set

Brooms, wands and magical spells – fans can now experience the magic of Hogwarts… in London

HARRY POTTER FANS are in for a treat  – the sets where the infamous movies were filmed have opened to the public.

A tour of the magical set costs a family of four for £83 (€99). The walking tour of the Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, England takes you behind the scenes of the sets.

The tour will also give away some of the trade secrets about the special effects and animatronics that were used on the films. You can expect to see the actual Great Hall where all the banquets and house selections took place. Fans are also able to walk along the famous cobbles of Diagon Alley and see all the shops such as Ollivanders wand shop and Eeylops Owl Emporium.

Other sets to see are Dumbledore’s office, Gryffindor common room, the boys’ dormitory, Hagrid’s hut, Potion’s classroom and Professor Umbridge’s office at the Ministry of Magic. The iconic props of the movies like Harry’s Nimbus 2000 and Hagrid’s motorcycle will also be on display.

A hand sculpted model of the Hogworts castle is also on display. Warner Brothers Studio Tour state that the model is “the jewel of the art department” adding that for the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, it took 86 artists and crew members to construct.
