A new marriage equality mural with two women has gone up on a castle in Galway

It’s the same artist behind the now-iconic mural on George’s Street in Dublin.

LAST MONTH, A massive mural supporting marriage equality went up on George’s Street in Dublin, and quickly became a symbol of the upcoming marriage referendum.

Now Limerick artist Joe Caslin has put up a new one – this time featuring two women in an embrace – on the ancient facade of Caher Castle in Co Galway.

Drag artist Panti Bliss shared this photo of it on social media, adding: “I was told…it was first OK’d with the relevant authorities who are concerned with these things.”

The original mural in Dublin’s city centre, which went up last month, has since been partly destroyed by bad weather.

But the artist told DailyEdge.ie that he expected it to fall victim to the elements – as each of his murals is made of biodegradable paper.
