WE HAVE TO take our hats off to airBaltic – the airline which appears to have taken merchandising to a whole new level.
A quick peek on the company’s Facebook page reveals a “love” of shoes and a plan to bring a range of footwear to market soon… so check out a few of the models on offer, in all their lime-green glory:

Hope they make wellies
Would never fly with them again. Was 4Kg over baggage allowance and was charged despite baggage allowance stating 30Kg on ticket they only allowed me 20kg free. They charged for all the food and drinks on plane, despite eTicket stating meals and drinks provided free. Plane was manky dirty too. They fly the Dublin Moscow route via Riga, never again. Lufthansa or BMI are far better and of you book 3-4 weeks in advance, cheaper!

A gimmick but well done. I presume they’re sponsoring this article in some way. Not against it, as such. thejournal.ie is a private business, so it needs paying customers.
I actually like the heels but wouldn’t wear them with the web address on it not a bad effort on their part tho

TODAY IS ASH Wednesday, which marks the start of the 40-day Lenten period. Once upon a time, in predominately Catholic Ireland, the tradition of “giving up” some luxury or indulgence from now until Easter Sunday was strictly observed.
Is that a tradition you still adhere to? Will you still be ‘giving up’ something for the 40 days of Lent?
