James Blunt discussed his infamous attitude to Twitter trolls on the Late Late last night

And he charmed everyone. Everyone.

JAMES BLUNT WAS on the Late Late Show last night, where he was only too happy to discuss his notorious Twitter account.

Despite his soft, radio-friendly exterior, Blunt has established an interesting reputation for himself as a merciless destroyer of Twitter trolls.

Here are a few examples.

Here’s what he told Ryan about his online detractors:

You’ve got to realise that this nasty person is probably at home alone in their bedroom with their trousers around their ankles. And they say “I don’t like you” and they couldn’t even be bothered to pull their trousers up and come to the concert and say “I hate your music”. So I find it very hard to take them seriously.

*round of applause*

He also discussed his friendship with Carrie Fisher (yes, THAT Carrie Fisher) whom he lived with while recording his latest album.

She would feed me and protect me and in fact she put a cardboard cut out of herself outside my bedroom door at night to protect me and that’s why I’m still alive today.

Alright then, Jamesy. He denied that they were going out, however:

We’re not dating. I’m not banging Princess Leia.

Aw. We like him. We do. And so did everyone else watching the Late Late last night:
