I remember when the pubs in Ireland were shut on St Patrick’s Day. Everyone went to church. Everyone wore shamrocks.And if you wanted a drink you had to have one at home, go to the Dog Show at the RDS, be a guest in a hotel or fly to Boston, New York or Britain.
