With euphoria winning last year we need to steer clear of similar sounding songs due to the fact that everyone will be trying to do the same. Really like song 2. Great voice and a great song. Perhaps not eurovision material but sure neither was the winning song last year. Will be interesting to see how they do during the live show. Songs 3-5 wont sound anyway like their recordings on the late late.

…Some decent pop songwriting going on. All we need now is for the gimps who work in Irish radio to get their tongues out of the hole of anything UK or US-based, and give them some proper airplay!

People are forgetting that Turkey is not competing this year; so they can not vote (so I believe anyway). Inchequin won’t get the Turkish vote.

Song 2 is the best in my opinion. As great as the rest are, they are great songs in their own way but as a previous comment stated; we need to stay clear of any songs similar to Euphoria. Most countries will be trying to do a replica and we need to stand out to get a decent place. When Lordi won for Finland, the following years many countries sent heavy rock bands to try master the vote, but they all flopped.

So…I love songs 2,3,4 but if I was to send one to try get votes, it would be song 2, nevertheless, I’d be happy with any of those three representing.

Why are we still entering this muck?

Song #1 would be the smartest to enter. There’s a massive Turk diaspora all over Europe who would vote in extremely large numbers considering Turkey themselves aren’t competing this year.
The rest off the songs are try-hard versions of what’s already been done by better in the past by Sweden (Kasey – Loreen) (Ryan – Eric Saade)

Doesn’t matter who gets Voted dog Ireland. its all down to political votes anyways. Not about the songs anymore. Since 2002 the Eurovision has gone to the Dogs, You have to look good on stage and dance while singing a crap song, to get the votes these days.

Zoe seems one year late with her Katy Perry-esque song… Land of Fire was Azerbaidjan. If Inchequin wins, then Turkey is sure to give Eire 12 points. Ryan Dolan has the best voice and song is not too shabby. Kasey could have done so much better, she has a superb voice, much more soulful than this LadyGaga-esque track. Aimée is probably the most expressive, emotional song on here. Vote though goes to Dolan, you just know the OneRepublic- couple of notes there will just scrape through and win it.

“Crashing Down” is the only one I don’t feel the need to actively despise.
