Which television soap is the most dangerous to live in?

Thinking of getting engaged to Gail Platt? You’re probably going to die.

THERE’S ALWAYS SO much drama in soap villages, we don’t understand why they don’t just MOVE.

First 4 Lawyers ran a survey in an attempt to assess how much they’d get for claims (Rita would get £20,000 for the tram crash FYI) and to discover just how risky it is to be a soap character.

The infographic serves up some very interesting results. For example…

There’s a 42% chance of being murdered in Emmerdale, which frankly, is far too high for comfort

Citizens of Emmerdale are at a 14% risk of being killed in a car accident and the same chance of dying in a delibirate fire.

If you’re engaged to Gail Platt, you only have a 20% survival rate

You also have an equal chance of being a serial killer yourself. Maybe keep your distance.

Phil Mitchell spends the majority of his time trying not to die

Eastenders also has the highest rate of murder, so Albert Square is probably out of the flat-hunting running.

Overall, Hollyoaks is the worst soap to be in if you don’t want to bite the big one

With a large student population, very few Hollyoaks residents make it into their late twenties, with very few dying of natural causes.

Sorry, we’re still thinking about poor unfortunate Gail
