CANADIAN SINGER BRYAN Adams has earned his place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The songwriter, guitarist, bassist and producer got his Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Monday in front of the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles.

Famous for his hits including Cut Like a Knife, ‘Summer of ’69, ‘Run to You, and (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, he began playing guitar in his teens, before quitting school to play nightclubs with a number of different bands.

After sending a demo to A&M Records at the age of 18, he signed a record deal for just $1 and went on to record his self titled debut album.

Yesterday, Adams recalled visiting Hollywood Boulevard at 16 and marveling at the stars, and said he was humbled by seeing his own star there.

On hand for his dedication was retired hockey star Wayne Gretzky, as Adams sang Canada’s national anthem before Gretzky’s final game.

The Grammy-winning singer is currently on tour, but as well as his music he is involved with his charitable foundation, The Bryan Adams Foundation, which provides grants for projects supporting the elderly, victims of wars and natural disasters, and those suffering from mental or physical abuse.
