PEOPLE OF CORK, we understand that the weather hasn’t been as terrific down your neck of the woods as it has been in most of the rest of the country.
So, in order to make you feel a little bit better – and to cater to the office workers who will no doubt feel grouchy at being unable to enjoy the sun – we present: some of the worst sunburn photos we could find.
(Remember: you don’t need to get sunburned to get skin cancer. Stay safe in the sun.)

Parents of child in pic number 4 needs a slap. And that poor child needed a ton of sunblock at the start of the day. All the aftersun in the world won’t undo the damage done to his skin.

Going off to Boston on Wednesday and I will have a full bottle of it in my bag.
June bank holiday in 1997 I was baling hay and I was fried alive!!!! To make matters worse relatives had just moved here from London and there was a dinner planned that night so I naturally I had to get cleaned up after the days long sweaty work.
My screams in the shower could be heard next door!!!!!!!
Pic 9 why you need someone to rub suncream onto your back. He is right handed as well as his left hand couldn’t reach to do the other side.
Stupid people! I sunburn very easy, hence I use factor 50 anytime im in the sun, regardless if its in Ireland or on holidays. Actually I cant see the logic in people buying a lower factor sun cream, they all cost about the same and the lower factors are less effective
Margaret,I’d definitely use 50 on kids younger than 3 as their skin is just too delicate. 30 for 3 and up. On saying that though I never use it at all. I tan easily and have only ever burned twice in my life but only on my nose and never enough to even peel. I’m lucky enough to have olive skin ;) I should wear suncream but hate the feeling of it so much I tend to avoid it. Maybe I’ll pay for it,maybe I won’t…..I’m willing to take the risk cause I’m just such a crazy mo-fo :P
