Try sticking a chunk of it in the microwave for about 8 to 10 seconds. Makes it spreadable.

In the interest of fairness, I apply a simple rule: If I open a new tub, I take off the foil. Otherwise, I leave it there.

The above approach address the basic imbalance: I need only remove the foil *once* to have it my way for the remainder of the tub. My wife needs to keep the foil in place *every time* to have it her way.

It’s little thinks like this that encourage domestic bliss and OCD.

Yeah! The butter dish left out of the fridge keeps it easy to spread. And PLENTY of it on the spuds. – I use to keep the foil on the tub, ’till I saw scense.

Butter doesnt comes from cows it comes from milk, butter is then made from milk. I make my own butter up in the parlour. Lovely stuff on my brown bread which my wife makes every saturday.

yer a man after me own heart it has to be real butter some how that recycled engine oil just dosnt cut it.
to prove it try 2 slices of toast with the real butter it will keep ye going till at least 11am but with the muck yer hungry by 10oc

I’m with Damocles on this. “spreadable” butter isn’t butter, it’s some type of butter-based product. That’s like saying Southern Comfort is whiskey. Butter cones in blocks, slabs and sticks, not tubs.

Low low is not butter same goes for flora they taste like they made were in a chemical factory!
Connacht gold is the best of the spreads as it tastes like butter & kerrygold which. is the REAL butter comes in tubs now so is all neat & tidy & yes I always throw out the foil

i’m not allowed butter for medical reasons I am well aware flora is not butter the comments on this poll has made me think bout real butter on toast and I miss it
