Fifi Geldof, sister of the late Peaches Geldof, has blasted Russell Brand as “a silly try hard c***”. Brand was performing at a fundraiser for Focus 12, a charity that helps treat alcohol and substance abuse, when he made some off-colour jokes about addiction.
Brand reportedly quipped, “From what I’ve experienced, lot of people here tonight are on drugs right now. The toilet, at the moment, is like an avalanche.”
Geldof took issue with Brand making light of addiction and wrote on her Instagram:
Less of a Russell Brand fan than ever after his offensive and highly inappropriate speech at the addiction charity event last night. Sillytry hard c***.

Florence Welch says she soaks up other people’s feelings. The Florence and The Machine lead singer made the revelation in an interview with The Guardian ahead of her headline slot at Glastonbury this weekend.
The singer said that she thought she was depressive but now thinks she just feels other people’s feelings.
She had a period where she thought she might be a depressive, but she now thinks she is actually porous – she soaks up other people’s emotions and then feels them even more vividly than they do.
