WE MAY NOT be getting the weather this year, but that won’t stop us showing Summer 2014 who’s boss.
One of the many amazing events happening around the country this summer is the free City Spectacular festival, taking place from 11-27 July in Dublin and Cork.
In the run up to the festival, Dubliners were asked what makes the Big Smoke spectacular – here’s what they said.

- You can never complain about there being nothing to do (even though we do complain)
- Lots of amazing restaurants and great food

- Looking up and spotting beautiful, almost-hidden architecture
