DOWN WITH DINOSAURS.

A MUM WHO took to a forum to publicly bemoan the fact that dinosaurs are being “forced on children” has seen her post backfire in a pretty delightful way.

In her rant, the Mumsnet user questioned the very existence of dinosaurs.

I’m really concerned about dinosaurs, and I think something needs to be done. The science behind them is pretty flimsy, and I for one do not want my children being taught lies. Did you know that nobody had even heard of dinosaurs before the 1800s, when they were invented by curio-hungry Victorians?

The mother also described burning dinosaur toys given to her children by their aunt and presenting a petition to the principal to remove dinosaurs from the curriculum.

Unfortunately for her, she didn’t quite get the response she wanted, although it did amuse a lot of fellow Mumsnet users.

While others agreed that dinosaurs must be stopped before children get exposed to even harder stuff.

While another person pointed out that dinosaurs do dominate the curriculum, while unicorns and the like are left behind.

A damn shame.

For their part, Mumsnet intervened in the situation and kindly ushered the dinosaur skeptic out the door, but did leave the thread up.
