This footballer's mortifying Twitter porn gaffe is going viral... but it's a hoax

Dele Adebola appeared to tweet a link to porn, and then be unable to delete it.

LAST NIGHT, A Twitter account apparently belonging to former Birmingham and Nottingham Forest striker Dele Adebola had an extremely embarrassing incident.

First, it tweeted a link to a video on Pornhub. (From the BBW section, to be precise.)

Then, Dele said he couldn’t delete it.

The internet was only delighted. People were telling him he couldn’t delete it, that tweets stay forever, and so on.

Finally he got it down. And issued this plea – in vain, obviously – for all screencaps to be deleted.

Within hours, the gaffe was all over Twitter. It was widely reported on mainstream UK news publications.

But there was just one problem. The account appears to be a fake. A fake which apparently also fooled the media a couple of days earlier, by pointing out that he didn’t have Ebola.

Birmingham City’s head of media Andy Walker confirmed the sad news on Twitter:

And it has also been endorsed by Birmingham City FC’s Community Trust.

Ooops. Still, at least some people were happy.
