Tom Hanks has written a touching tribute to his late friend Robin Williams. In the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine, he reveals that they met back when Williams was filming Mork and Mindy, and Hanks was still starring in the 80s sitcom Bosom Buddies. (ONTD)

He writes:

When you got to know Robin, he was a blast, passing the ball as freely as Michael Jordan – fun being a team effort… His eyes, when not crunched in laughter, showed the wear and tear of our generation and our profession, the wrestled demons, the rough miles of his odometer. He had wisdom born of all the burns and scars of his life, and he was funny about it.
