WHICH NEW MOVIE release is worth the price of a cinema ticket this weekend?
We’re here to help you decide just that, with these trailers.
In A World
For fans of: Kick-ass women, great accents
Avoid if: You’re a sexist voiceover artist
“I’m not being sexist, that’s just the truth,” Lake Bell’s father tells her at the beginning of this trailer. That’s the sort of thing her character keeps being told as she tries to carve out a career as a voiceover artist. We love that she doesn’t let anybody get in her way. (Also, Bell wrote and directed this film. Love her.)

White House Down
For fans of: Destroying the world
Avoid if: You prefer Magic Mike
It’s the disaster film to end all disaster films – what the hell happens when the White House is hit in a random attack? We all know what that means: America will be destroyed. And only two men can save it: Yes, Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum. That’s what you were thinking too, right?
- RottenTomatoes.com critics rating: 50 per cent. Audience rating: 68 per cent want to see
For fans of: Fast cars
Avoid if: You’re not a fan of speed
I don’t know why trailers insist on showing you almost everything that is about to happen in a film, but it has got to stop. While Rush does look like an interesting high-octane tale of the true story of battling racecar drivers, the fact its trailer is so transparent means there’s a high chance people might just skip the film altogether. Sigh.

Justin and the Knights of Valour
For fans of: Men of valour
Avoid if: You’re not into heroes
Justin is a scrawny young thing, but he’s a knight-in-the-making, and that’s all that matters. Saoirse Ronan is one of the voices of the characters in this charming comedy that’s sure to entertain both children and their guardians.
- RottenTomatoes.com critics rating – none. Audience rating 89 per cent want to see
