Police in the UK are trying to hunt down a ‘Cinderella’ thief who left one of his runners at the crime scene.
At around 9.30pm last night, our boy tried to steal cider from a shop in Stanley, Co Durham.
As he attempted to flee the scene, he left his poor grey and red Nike Air Max runner behind him.
Police in Durham tweeted a picture of the evidence (showing the shoe cheerily perched on a box of Baked Wotsits), hoping someone might recognise it and contact them.
Let’s hope some kind sole helps the police de-feet this would-be criminal, and ensure he toes the line in future. Ahem.
