Channing Tatum gave out YARDS about his own films... it's The Dredge

All the best of the day’s celebrity dirt.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.

Channing Tatum is at it again and giving out yards about his previous film projects. After his refreshingly frank Reddit AMA last week, the actor appeared on Howard Stern yesterday morning and proceeded to drop some more truth bombs.

He was asked for his thoughts about the film GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra and let’s just say he did not hold back.

Look, I’ll be honest. I f**king hate that movie. I hate that movie.

Tell us how you really feel, Channing.

The actor explained that he had signed a three-picture deal with Paramount and he was pushed into doing it, despite his reservations.

The script wasn’t any good. I didn’t want to do something that I thought was 1) bad, and 2) I just didn’t know if I wanted to be G.I. Joe.

Tatum also revealed that the proposed male reboot of Ghostbusters, not to be confused with the female remake of Ghostbusters, is a bit of a mess.

That thing’s gotten messy, I gotta be honest. There’s a lot of people doing a lot of things on Ghostbusters… Yeah. I don’t know, is the answer.

Hmm. (AV Club)

Taylor Swift performed in Glasgow last night and gave a special shout out to her beau Calvin Harris. Well, kind of.

The singer kicked off her UK tour in Scotland last night and was quoted as saying: “Look at all of these amazing Scottish people in this room right now. I happen to love Scottish people, personally.”

You love Scottish people? Scottish people like Calvin Harris? Oh Lord, it’s getting very serious, isn’t it?

Earlier this week, Calvin Harris referred to Swift as “my girl” in a tweet, a sign that marriage must surely be on the way. (3AM)

Jessie J is in hospital recovering from surgery. The singer shared the following video to Instagram and told fans that she would be away from social media for a few days, but declined to reveal what the surgery was for.

I don’t often share personal stuff (especially about my health) anymore. I just get on with it secretly but I wanted to share with you before someone else might and it gets twisted and exaggerated into something different or worse. Meh. Just know I am ok as I say in the video on the right. I had an operation yesterday so need to rest. I won’t be saying what for so PLEASE don’t keep asking me or harassing my close ones on here or anywhere for information

Get well soon, Jessie. (Jessie J/Instagram)
