Angry Doc

Cameron and Clegg's hospital visit interrupted by irate doctor

The British prime minister and deputy prime minister were meeting patients at the hospital when the doctor accosted the accompany TV crew over hygiene.

A MEDIA VISIT by Britain’s prime minister and deputy prime minister to a London hospital yesterday was suddently interrupted by an angry outburst from a hospital surgeon.

The two, who were at the hospital to announce the coalition agreement on National Health Service (NHS) reforms, were meeting with a patient when the doctor angrily interrupted, asking why the TV crew were not adhering to the hospital’s hygiene policy.

Initially dumb-struck by the outburst, Cameron indicated that the crew would have to leave while Clegg stayed silent:

Cameron spoke about his own experiences at the hospital, where he said his son had been treated. London SE1 reports that Cameron praised Britain’s NHS for covering medical costs, saying that patients and families don’t have to worry about “for one moment about your cheque book or bank balance or how much you earn”.

Britain’s prime minister denied that the major changes recommended by an independent panel of experts to his government’s NHS reform plans had led to a humiliating u-turn in government policy, the BBC reported yesterday.
