IT’S THE MOST wonderful time of the year.

Er, the nineteenth of August.

While the rest of us are clinging onto the last bits of summer and wondering if we’ll get a blessed September/Back to School heatwave, the elves in Brown Thomas are setting up the Christmas shop.

According to Brown Thomas the Christmas shop is ‘coming soon’. Last year it wasn’t until 28 August that the trees were in place in BT. By September they were selling selection boxes in Tesco.

Is it too much to use this as an excuse to have Pringles and Chocolate Kimberley for breakfast?
