NEWSFLASH: John and Edward have moved out of home – they’re big boys now and they’ve a reality TV show to prove it.

In fact they’ve moved into separate rooms – for the first time in their short lives. The 18-year-old X-Factor twins who’ve already made millions are fronting the new show for ITV 2 that will show the trials and tribulations of their lives.

The show will track the boys as they attempt to cut the apron strings and go it alone in the world. Among the momentous events covered by the show we’ll see Jedward as they prepare for the launch of their album, Edward as he collapses at a festival and it will also show the boys behind the scene as they record a music video.

Speaking as one, Jedward said: “We are so excited that we have our own show. People find it hard to define us and hopefully the show will give viewers and our fans an insight into our world during a really exciting point in our lives launching our debut album.”

The first show will show the boys as they struggle to turn the taps on in their new penthouse apartment – exciting stuff!

Jedward: Let Loose goes out on ITV2 at 9pm, Tuesday, August 24.

RTE also has its own Jedward show.

TOP GEAR’S BACK and already we’ve seen Harry Potter star Rupert Grint and the Godfather’s Andy Garcia zip around the Top Gear track in a Kia.

Now it’s Tom Cruise’s turn.

Cruise is car mad, according to The Sun, and the Top Gun star will be joined by Cameron Diaz as they battle it out for the fastest lap on this Sunday’s show. A source within the show said: “it’s fair to say, we’ve have never, ever had two bigger guests”. But it was Tom’s people who contacted Top Gear to see if they could get him on the show.

A post on the Top Gear site says: “Tom Cruise in a crappy Korean hatchback!

“That was the gag: massive A-list celebrities finding themselves shoehorned into the kind of car they’d normally never be seen dead in.  The whole thing was deliberately preposterous.

“And so, frankly, was our dream of getting the world’s biggest movie actor into an affordable mid-range car.”

Rupert Grint currently has the record of fastest lap on the show and Cruise will be hoping to eclipse the Harry Potter star.

Top Gear is on BBC 2 at 8pm on Sunday.

IRISH CHAT SHOW HOST Graham Norton will replace Jonathan Ross on BBC1′s flagship Friday night chat show. Norton had been favourite to get the gig and the announcement ends months of speculation as to who would replace Ross.

The Sun is reporting that Norton will begin his run on October while a source close to him said he was over the moon. Graham’s new show is said to be quite similar to The Graham Norton Show which runs on Monday nights. The deal is part of Norton’s two year, £4m deal with the Beeb.

Ross, who’s signed a deal with ITV to present a chat show likely to go out in Saturday nights after X-Factor filling a role once occupied by Michael Parkinson. The deal is said to be worth £1m to Ross, a big drop from the £6m a year he was said to be on at the BBC.
