Brian McFadden questioned over alleged air rage incident

Former Westlife star denies being drunk and disruptive on flight from LA to Syndey.

SINGER BRIAN MCFADDEN WAS detained at Sydney Airport last night after staff on his V Australia flight called for police to meet the plane when it landed.

Police told the Sydney Morning Herald that they interviewed two men but the airline had not made any formal complaint and no charges would be brought.

The airline confirmed there was an incident on board, but would not provide details.

Eyewitnesses told News.com.au that air crew discovered that someone was smoking on board the flight, and a heated discussion followed between McFadden, his friend, and airline staff.

Police on the ground were notified of “smoking, aggressive behaviour and [passengers] not following the orders of staff”.

After reports emerged alleging he was involved in the incident, McFadden tweeted:

wasn’t arrested! didn’t smoke on the flight. and the virgin staff were very nice. i did have a few drinks but i was not smashed and abusive

if reports were true then i would have been arrested, fined and wosrt! banned from my favorite airline v australia. storm in a tea cup

McFadden is a judge alongside Danni Minogue on the TV show Australia’s Got Talent.
